Once you have saved the record, closed it, and opened it again, you can change the type of matter from testate to intestate (or vice versa) in Tab A of the record by clicking the pencil beside the Testate/Intestate field.

A message appears warning you that making this change causes certain fields (listed in the message) to be reset.

If your program contains the Power of Attorney matter, you cannot switch to or from it once it is designated.
