In this article we will be going over the Waffle Icon in eConveyance. By the end of this article you should feel confident in using the Waffle Icon which provides eConveyance users with direct access to the new Lender Centre, Strata Documents, and Tax Certificates.
The options from the Waffle Icon are:
Lender Centre
Select Mortgage Instructions to be taken directly to the Lender Centre. It’s your choice whether you complete preparation of the mortgage in Lender Centre or pick up the instructions and return to your eConveyance file to complete preparation of the mortgage using the extensive library of lenders and mortgage products available to you.
Select Mortgage Discharges to begin the process of requesting payout statements and obtaining mortgage discharges. Select the BMO icon for Bank of Montreal discharges or a Credit Union icon for all other discharges.
Strata Documents
Select Strata Documents to be taken directly to eStratahub where you can start the process of ordering strata documents or managing existing orders.
Tax Certificates
Select Tax Certificates to be taken directly to the TCOL Order Tax Certificates page.
Existing eConveyance Integrations
Mortgage Instructions
The existing eConveyance integration for obtaining and importing mortgage instructions into your eConveyance file via Assyst Real Estate, now the Lender Centre, is still available to you. The tab has been renamed Mortgage Instructions and the same great integration functionality that you have come to rely on as an eConveyance user is available to you. You will want to continue using this feature to enjoy a more efficient and seamless workflow.
Tax Certificates
The ability to obtain a tax certificate and import the data into your eConveyance file using the Due Diligence feature in your eConveyance file has not changed. You will want to continue using this feature to enjoy a more efficient and seamless workflow.
Vaulting Third-Party Integration Credentials
The first step for using the Waffle Icon is to vault your third-party integration credentials in your User Profile. When you visit your User Profile, you will find the new Dye & Durham Accounts tab. Please enter your third-party integration credentials into the fields displayed and click Save.
Hover your mouse over the User Icon > hover your mouse over Profiles > click on User Profile
Click on the Dye & Durham Accounts tab > enter your credentials in the appropriate field boxes > click on Save
Please note, the credentials for Strata Documents and Tax Certificates are the same credentials you use for eStrataHub and TCOL.

How to Locate and Access the Waffle Icon
Step #1 - Log into eConveyance
Step #2 – In the pink menu bar across the top of the eConveyance page, navigate to and hover over the Waffle Icon to open the Dye & Durham Suite drop-down menu
Lender Centre/Mortgage Instructions
Step #1 – Hover your mouse over the Lender Centre
Step #2 – From the drop-down menu, click on Mortgage Instructions
Step #3 – From the Mortgage Instructions pop-up window, click on any bank logo to be directed to the Lender Centre, formerly the Assyst website
Step #4 – After you click on the bank logo, a pop-ups window will appear asking you to confirm whether you’d like to be directed to the Lender Centre Mortgage Instructions outside of eConveyance.
If you click on Cancel, the pop-ups message will close. If you click on Continue, the Lender Centre website will open in a new browser window.
Lender Centre/Mortgage Discharges
Step #1 – Hover your mouse over the Lender Centre
Step #2 – From the drop-down menu, click on Mortgage Discharges
Step #3 - From the Mortgage Discharges pop-up window, click on the BMO logo to be directed to the Lender Centre, formerly the Assyst website.
From the Mortgage Discharges pop-up window, click on any Credit Union logo to be directed to Atsource.
Strata Documents
Step #1 – Hover your mouse over the Lender Centre
Step #2 – From the drop-down menu, click Strata Documents to be directed to the Strata Documents page.

Step #3 – A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm whether you’d like to be directed to the Tax Certificates website. If you click on Cancel, the pop-up message will close. If you click on Continue, the Tax Certificates website will open in a new browser window.

What is Lender Centre and why would I want to use it?
Lender Centre is a one-stop shop directly connecting legal professionals with Canada’s leading lenders, to quickly and easily get mortgage instructions, payouts and discharges. No more jumping between platforms to assemble your mortgage info anymore. It’s all in one place.
I use the Assyst Real Estate integration in eConveyance. Can I continue using it or do I have to go through Lender Centre?
Please continue to use the integration found under the renamed Mortgage Instructions tab on the eConveyance home page. Lender Centre provides quick and easy access to the Lender Centre (formerly Assyst) and Atsource websites without the necessity of opening a separate browser window and logging in again.
I was told that the cost to obtain mortgage instructions, mortgage payout statements & discharges is now included in the eConveyance transaction charge but I still had to pay, why?
The payment process for obtaining mortgage instructions has not changed yet. A monthly reconciliation will be done and D&D customers will be credited or refunded for the charges incurred to obtain mortgage instructions.

The Atsource service fee for credit union payouts & discharges has been waived for D&D customers for some time now. Customers are still required to pay the portion of the Atsource cost that relates to LTSA filing fees. This is not new. It is the Assyst fee related to Bank of Montreal (BMO) discharges and mortgage instructions that will now also be waived for D&D customers.
